Inhaca Lodge’s forty bungalows with en-suite bathrooms are extremely comfortable and are situated amongst coconut palms in a tropical setting. The interior décor carries an African-island theme, and is light, bright and airy, with twin beds, and family rooms have an additional bunk bed, which can accommodate two small children. All chalets have en-suite bathrooms with showers (hot water). Chalets have televisions and overhead fans and are serviced regularly.
The hotel boasts a large salt-water swimming pool, and a water-sports centre with a wide range of water-sports on offer, including diving, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, water-skiing and para-sailing. Tours by tractor to the lighthouse or Maritime Museum, boat trips to Portuguese Island, and walking trails around the island can also be arranged.
The Hotel restaurant caters to the enthusiastic appetite of guests with fresh seafood served daily. Seafood barbeques, under the trees with a local band supplying the music, make for a special evening, while you watch the sun set over the ocean, and the full buffet breakfast is superb, with freshly baked scones and pastries to tempt the palate.
A lunch menu is available at the hotel, or picnic lunches can be arranged for outings. There is also a quaint little restaurant in the village; the famous Lucas’ Restaurant, where wonderful seafood lunches can be had at reasonable prices.
